Jun 28,  · Don't remember John the Baptist ever being called son of man. He was called a prophet of old by some one of the old prophet ressurrected. The son of man never! Read your Bible then you would not have questions like this you would know for yourself. Educate yourself, quit .

Jon Batiste is an excellent pianist. The variety of pieces on this CD show up his talent. It a CD you can sit back and listen to. The selection of songs range from the opening boogie to classically inspired pieces. All together, the album is relaxing, and warm/5().

Jan 02,  · One reason that Jesus called John the Baptist the “greatest” was that John held the honor of being chosen by God as the forerunner to the Messiah. John’s mission was to personally prepare the world for Christ’s arrival. John’s ministry was predicted in Isaiah and Malachi

Therefore, John’s Gospel and Matthew’s Gospel agree. John the Baptist didn’t know Jesus was Messiah until after the baptism, yet before that time John saw Jesus as the more righteous between them. We can see John’s words in Matthew 3 to be a testimony to us .

Open your Bible, if you will, to Luke's gospel, chapter 1, as we continue in this amazing account of Luke as he writes concerning Jesus Christ. We have been going through the narrative story of Luke.

Today we celebrate the feast of the birth of John the Baptist, June 24, the solstice, when the sun begins to diminish and this is the reason why, since the time of St. Augustine (we are at the end of the fourth century and the beginning of the fifth century), the feast of the Baptist is celebrated. Precisely because he himself had said: Now I must stay to one side because another light has.

In the Gospel from this past Sunday John the Baptist says something strange about Jesus: I did not know him (Jn ) Kind of an odd thing for John to say of Jesus. He was his cousin, and one would presume he knew Jesus quite well. Even if they lived in different towns, it was Continue reading "“I did not know him.”A mediation on a saying of John the Baptist".
